Well the Holidays are upon us and I figured that I would travel up to the North Pole to volunteer and help out during Santa's busiest time of the year. Of course I had a little time to goof around. After landing in northern Nunavut I took a small seaplane, wow what a bumpy ride.
My first trip on a seaplane, here it is about to taxi out from the small bay.
Here I am when I just arrived at the North Pole.
There are so many elves at the North Pole that they have their own postal system. Although it was refreshing to have things that were more suited for my height.
I love the North Pole at night they light several of the trees around the surrounding wooded areas of the town.
Good old St. Nick and I were able to sneak away for awhile to hit a few holes of golf, nice setup he has his very own indoor golf course, complete with hot chocolate & beer carts!!This was the most interesting and yet geeky part of my trip. Have you ever wondered how Santa is able to deliver all the gifts to all the good boys and girls in one night? Well I have, not that it keeps me up at night, you know the part that does keep me up at night is that some overweight guy sneaks into our homes while we sleep and he pokes around and eats our milk and cookies. Not to mention the potential privacy issues that Santa keeps a list of everything we do for each person on the planet, I hope he has proper safeguards so this information isn't stolen, I mean really can you imagine the potential identity theft implications, but it is a good thing he is on the nice list, whoops I digress. Well apparently there is a good reason that all boys and girls need to be asleep before St. Nick shows up, he uses Quantum Superpositioning (Wikipedia: Quantum Superposition) to deliver the gifts simultaneously, he doesn't want people to be waiting around the tree otherwise it may collapse the wave function (Wikipedia: Wave Function Collapse) and he is stuck in one position. Here is a rare picture of Santa showing off his high tech trick, woot!
Superposition Santa!!Remember kids go to sleep so Santa can work his high tech magic!
Well I just arrived back at home, it was a great trip, I need to now rest up and hit the mall for those last few Christmas gifts, nothing better than a driving troll, you know how many phone books I need to use to see over the steering wheel!!!
Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!
